EYEGLASS CASE

H hook
Scrap yarn (4 ply yarn)

Row 1: Ch 23 (23 chains is usually enough – you can ch less or more depending on the size of your glasses. A child’s pair of glasses may be shorter – ch 19 or 21)

.

Row 2: Sc in each ch across (22 sc). Ch 1 turn

Note: Don’t worry if it curls. It will work out in the end.

Row 3-23: Sc in each ch across. Ch 1 turn (23 rows is usually enough – if you have larger glasses, continue in pattern until desired width. If you have smaller glasses you could stop at row 21 or row 19.)

Finishing: fold in half (short sides are top and bottom, long sides are the side seam) Ch 1 and sc along the long side being sure to catch both sides in each sc (this is “sewing” the sides together to make a tube). At the corner, 3 sc in the same stitch and then continue along the short side to the end. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Done!

Note: 4 ply yarn is used for this project. If you want to use a thinner yarn such as 3 ply, you will need to increase the number of chains at the beginning to make it long enough for the glasses to fit inside.
